چکیده
Revealing the information between similar patterns of brain for a real motor task and its imaginary equivalent can be means to clarify movement intentions help improve Brain Computer Interfaces (BCI)s. This paper uses spectral coherence assess functional interactions neural regions engaged in an imagined arm task. Magnitude squared values were calculated two specific bands Electroencephalogram (EEG) that are 8–12 Hz alpha band 13–20 beta 48 channels from selected interest (ROIs). The transferred into surface maps. We try explain how cognition these relevant with literature. maximum is observed same hemisphere surrounding closest located vertically horizontally based on 10-20 electrode placement. Our results supplementary area, premotor, prefrontal, primary cortex parietal play role facilitating movements, good accordance previous studies. Further research put which would possible prosthetic-interactive BCI systems, interactive multimedia applications, emerging EEGbased biometric recognition areas.

EEG Classification of Different Imaginary Movements within the Same Limb
The task of discriminating the motor imagery of different movements within the same limb using electroencephalography (EEG) signals is challenging because these imaginary movements have close spatial representations on the motor cortex area. There is, however, a pressing need to succeed in this task. The reason is that the ability to classify different same-limb imaginary movements could increa...
متن کاملModeling Movement and Imaginary Movement EEG by means of Hidden Markov Models and Coherence
This work investigates the discrete Hidden Markov Model (HMM) for modeling spontaneous electroencephalogram (EEG) events of actual movement and imaginary movement by means of Magnitude Squared Coherence (MSC). The EEG was recording from 20 scalp electrodes, placed according to International 10-20 System. The models, resulting for three normal subjects, were build with electrodes from central (C...
متن کاملA stable pattern of EEG spectral coherence
Background: The autism rate has recently increased to 1 in 100 children. Genetic studies demonstrate poorly understood complexity. Environmental factors apparently also play a role. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies demonstrate increased brain sizes and altered connectivity. Electroencephalogram (EEG) coherence studies confirm connectivity changes. However, genetic-, MRIand/or EEG-based ...

EEG was recorded monopolarly at frontal (F3, F4), central (C3, C4) and occipital (O1, O2) derivations during A-B-A conditions of waking rest, hypnosis (rest, arm immobilization, mosquito hallucination, hypnotic dream), and waking rest. Stringently screened on several measures of hypnotic susceptibility, 12 very low hypnotizable and 12 very highly hypnotizable, right-handed undergraduate, subjec...
